Only 5 weeks of Summer left until I have to return to work. Between school, Brian's wedding, Phoebe's shows and summer school we have stayed very busy this summer!
Just wanted to share some pics of our summer so far! We started out the summer with a trip to San Marcos to float the river. We went through some rapids and at one point Phoebe was hanging onto a large rock so she didn't float downstream. (good times, good times)
After the river, we headed to Aunt Elise and Uncle John's ranch in Wimberley. That was paradise, I never pictured myself as a ranch girl but I totally could survive on this ranch! Phoebe and Ashley loved all the animals, having their own room in the guest house, swimming and being country girls!
Phoebe attended a 2 week summer camp with Art Park Players, where they performed a show called Pop Nation for the parents. Phoebe sang a Taylor Swift solo and had a solo part with her group singing Tik Tok. She really stole the show! Everytime she gets on the stage her confidence soars! The girl can really sing!!!
After summer camp, Phoebe and her BFF Bri'Ana decided to audition for the adult Art Park Player show, Oklahoma. They had never been in an adult production before and they were nervous about trying out. Phoebe was so excited! She sang another Taylor Swift song and got rave reviews from her theatre teachers. Of course, Phoebe and Bri'Ana were chosen to be one of the children in the Oklahoma production. They are just extras in the background, but as they say in the theatre, "There are no small parts, just small actors!" Jeremy and I decided Phoebe's character should have a name so Phoebe calls herself "MaryBeth" while she is in costume. Phoebe and the whole Oklahoma cast are going to be featured in the Deer Park newspaper.
We are also looking forward to our upcoming San Antonio Fiesta Texas trip with the Girl Scouts this weekend, our week in Galveston and Phoebe's trip to visit my dad (by herself) in Florida!
Jeremy got a new position at his job and he now works day shift only! No more nights! Oh and I am back in school to get a state certification in Substance Abuse prevention.
